Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
